Principal's Message
Welcome to Choconut Valley Elementary School! Since its founding in 1971, Choconut has been dedicated to excellence by providing the very best elementary education to our students, Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. Choconut has always been a special school and holds special place in the greater community. Throughout the past 50 years, CVES has proudly been a place where our students are academically ambitious, motivated and engaged, and curious about the world around us.
Our fantastic teachers are dedicated to not only providing the best education to our students, but to helping them to thrive socially and emotionally as well. Choconut Valley teachers work hard to create positive and impactful learning environments for our students. This year, we continue our journey with our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program at the Elementary Schools by following the Meteor Motto: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. Choconut has had a long history of wonderful teachers who truly are devoted and care deeply about the work they do each day. Due to this work, our students are not afraid to meet new challenges and identify paths to innovative solutions. I am proud of this long history and grateful to now be a part of the Choconut family after attending CVES myself as a student.
Throughout the school year, exciting things will be happening on our campus and in our classrooms. I encourage you to get involved by joining our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) and CVYAA (Choconut Valley Youth Athletic Association) groups. These organizations work in conjunction to add exponential value to our school, to building programs for our students, and to support families. It is also encouraged to volunteer at school activities and events throughout the year. You are your child’s first and most important teacher and your time is the best gift you can give your child. The elementary school years are the foundation of your child’s educational career and pass by so quickly. As principal, I am committed to continuing our high standards of excellence at Choconut Valley Elementary School… both in and out of the classroom. I believe that our students should enjoy coming to school each day, that ALL students can be successful, and that the love of learning developed in our building can carry students to become lifelong learners.
